MIDCUTICON Kerala 2026 – Abstract Submission Guidelines
All abstracts must be submitted through the official website https://midcuticonkerala.com. A copy of the submitted abstract must also be emailed to scientificmidcuticonkerala2026@gmail.com along with the HOD approval/cover letter wherever applicable.
Note: Submission requires OTP verification via registered mobile number.
Free Papers
Last Date of Submission: May 3rd, 2026
- Only PLM/LM members of IADVL Kerala are eligible to submit free papers.
- Abstract (maximum 400 words) must be submitted via website and emailed.
- Free papers may include rare case reports, case series, or short original research works. Innovations and original works will be given preference.
- Patient privacy must be strictly maintained. Proper consent should be obtained and eyes must be masked in clinical images.
- Presentation time: 7 minutes.
- Abstracts not selected for free papers due to time constraints will be considered under the E-Poster category. Communication will be sent by May 3rd, 2026.
Award Papers (Case Report & Research Study)
Last Date of Submission: May 3rd, 2026 (Midnight)
- Only Provisional Life Members (PLMs) pursuing postgraduate courses in Kerala medical colleges are eligible.
- Submission categories:
- Case Report
- Research Study
Only one entry per category is allowed from each medical college. - Research study must include a minimum of 5 subjects.
- Title and abstract must be submitted via website and also emailed.
- Abstract format:
- Case Report (≤300 words): Introduction, Case Report, Highlights
- Research Study (≤400 words): Introduction, Objectives, Materials & Methods, Results, Limitations, Conclusion
- A recommendation letter from HOD confirming active involvement is mandatory.
- Presentation time:
- Case Report – 6 minutes
- Research Study – 7 minutes
E-Posters (Case Reports & Research Studies)
Last Date of Submission: May 3rd, 2026
- Open to Life Members and Provisional Life Members of IADVL Kerala.
- Only one E-poster per presenter (multiple co-authorship allowed).
- E-posters must be original works (Case Report or Research Study).
- Abstract must be submitted via website and emailed.
- Abstract format:
- Case Report (≤300 words): Introduction, Case Report, Highlights
- Research Study (≤400 words): Introduction, Objectives, Materials & Methods, Results, Conclusion
- Abstract ID will be provided by the organizing committee.
- IEC approval is mandatory for research studies.
E-Poster Preparation Guidelines
- Use the official template provided.
- Poster size: 40.97” × 23.04” (16:9 ratio).
- Layout must be landscape orientation (single slide).
- Minimum font size: 28pt.
- Recommended fonts: Calibri, Arial, Times New Roman.
- Convert all formulas into images (.jpg/.png).
- Save file as PDF with name: E-Poster_AbstractID.pdf.
- Do not include author names, institution names, or identifying details.
- Maximum file size: 10 MB.
- Mention conflict of interest if any.
- Maximum 3 references allowed.
- Avoid commercial names of drugs/equipment.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times.
