Abstract Submission Guidelines

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

  • Abstract submission starts on 15th March 2024 and ends on 10th April 2024.
  • Award papers are to be presented by PLM of Kerala IADVL pursuing PG course in Dermatology in medical Colleges within Kerala only.
  • A certificate from the Head of the department clarifying the authenticity of the research work has to be submitted.
  • Free papers and e-posters can be presented by any registered member.
  • Only original research studies (at least 5 subjects) and case reports (less than 5 subjects) will be considered for award paper.
  • Only online submissions are entertained.
  • Abstracts to be submitted to Website.
  • Acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be intimated by 21st April 2024.
  • Acceptance and participation are to be confirmed within 48 hours of the date of acceptance email.

General Guidelines

  • Specify the category: Free paper, award paper (original research paper/case reports), and e-posters.
  • Word limit of the abstract: 300 words for case reports and 400 words for original research papers (excluding title, authors, and affiliations).
  • Font: Times New Roman, size-12.
  • The title should be written using capital letters.
  • Limit the use of abbreviations in the abstract.
  • Submitted data should not have been published.
  • No identifying features such as names of authors, hospitals, medical colleges, or places should be listed in the title or text page of the abstract. Author details and their affiliation(s) should be entered online while doing the submission.
  • Only one case report (6 min) and one research paper (7min) can be sent from one institution for AWARD PAPER and, that has to be forwarded or approved by the HOD.
  • One person can submit only one E-poster. However, he/she can be the co-author for more than one E-poster.
  • Abstracts previously presented will not be accepted.
  • Avoid commercial names of drugs/companies.
  • Please check the conference website from time to time for all updates. Details of e-poster presentation will be available on the website.

E-Poster Guidelines

  • You can create an E-poster as for a normal physical poster, but save the file in .jpg/.png format.
  • Image should be in landscape orientation and 16:9 aspect ratio and 1 slide only.
  • Pixel density of the image must be between 100 and 150 dpi.
  • You can also use PowerPoint to create your poster.
  • Once you create the poster, save it in .jpg/.png format.
  • Contents should not be overcrowded.
  • Symbols, diagrams, and other images included should be clear enough to view on a large screen.
  • Recommended Fonts: Calibri, Verdana, and Arial. Font size should not be less than 10pt.
  • Background should be light (Recommended: white) if dark text is being used. Should not exceed 10MB.
